Children & Youth Services |
Welcome to the children and youth services department! We hope that you will take time to explore and find out what’s available for you and your children at the library. We have story times and programs for every age, from babies to teens. You’ll find the information to get you connected here. Check out the monthly calendar, too, for dates and times of special programs just for our young patrons.

We take special care to develop collections for children and students from birth through high school. You’ll find the children’s easy book section to be filled with colorful picture books that spark the imagination. Our juvenile collection has so many of your children’s favorites series and beginning chapter books that make reading an adventure every day. Our young adult collection has a great variety of books to appeal to teens with a variety of interests. We encourage you to participate with your children in making book selections. As they read, work with them as a family, answering their questions. This will foster a love of reading that lasts a lifetime. |
The library story times with Ms. Susan are energetic, fun, and educational. With weekly themes that include everything from the alphabet to the zoo, your child will learn and grow to love books and reading during this very special time. All programs are free and open to the public. Story times begin and end similarly to the school calendar. If school is cancelled or not in session, there will be no story times that week. There are parties for the following holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s, Easter, and End of the School Year. Parents will have the chance to sign up to provide snacks or treats for these special days. |
