The Genealogy Room of the Benton County Public Library has a special collection of local history and heritage materials, as well as state historical resources. We strive to provide access to local, state, regional, and national sources to help patrons achieve a better understanding of their ancestral heritage. Throughout the week volunteers with expertise in family history research are available to help you find your roots. Many of our volunteers are members of the Benton County Genealogical Society who have partnered for many years with the library to improve all the programs and services available to the public. Call or come by and reminisce about the old days in the library genealogy room.
The Benton County Genealogical Society meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month, at the Benton County Public Library, in the Tennessee Room at 6:30 p.m. Click on the link to the left to print an application for membership to this wonderful organization.
