The library serves in multiple roles when developing the collections of books, audios, CDs, DVDs, and other formats within our entire collection:
- Popular Materials Center-the library features current, high-demand, high-interest materials in a variety of formats for persons of all ages.
- Independent Learning Center-the library supports individuals of all ages pursuing a sustained program of learning that is independent of any educational provider.
- Preschoolers' Door to Learning-the library encourages young children to develop an interest in reading and learning through services for children, and for parents and children together.
Materials Selection Criteria
- Needs and interests of the community
- Suitability to the missions, roles, and goals of the library
- Budget restrictions and availability of funds
- Appearance, attractiveness, and quality
