Resource Room |
The Resource Room was provided by a grant through the state of Tennessee. It is brimming with educational and curriculum resources for teachers, homeschool families, and everyone who wants to help their children grow, learn, and love to read! There are many unique materials and features in this special room including Ellison dies, big book activity packs, marionettes and puppets with a stage, homeschool curriculum, county school textbooks, and many more. There are over 500 items available for check-out or use and the collection is growing! Helpful Information *No more than 3 kits/items may be checked out to one person at a time. Since the collection is small, we want everyone to have access to some of the materials, so sharing is important. *There are clipboards in various places throughout the room. If you use items in the library, please mark that on the clipboard so we can keep up with the usage for tracking circulation. *Please feel free to write down suggestions for items on one of the clipboards for future purchase. We’d also love to know what works well and what doesn’t, so we can make improvements as we develop this special collection for you. *There is a bulletin board for you to ask questions and help each other with suggestions or ideas. Brainstorming is a great way to find solutions or unique ideas that will make learning special! *Please share your positive experiences with others and let them know about these unique materials and services that are available. *We have lamination and colored paper for purchase for a nominal fee to help you with classroom or group presentations. Ask about our overhead projector or durable easel for use for group meetings, too! *Don’t forget the Tennessee Room is equipped with a large screen and professional multi-media cart for meetings and presentations.
