Mission Statement

The Benton County Library System will provide:

• A special collection of local history and heritage materials
• A sufficient inventory of popular titles and diverse topics
• Educational tools and resources along with instructional technology to supplement the local school library and curriculum
• Readily accessible information on a broad array of topics at age-appropriate levels
• Formal and informal learning opportunities including access to a broad variety resources and programs to facilitate lifelong learning
• Assistance by friendly and knowledgeable staff in a barrier-free environment
• An ongoing pursuit to attain and maintain the highest of professional standards as prescribed by the Tennessee Minimum Standards for Public Libraries
